Nighttime is the BEST time to write, I've decided. Nobody bothers me but the cats, the phone doesn't ring, I can't run errands, nothing is on tv -- in other words, all the things that distract me or make me procrastinate are gone! Last night I wrote two stories, and now it's a beautiful spring morning, with the sun shining and the birds singing, and I have two finished fics. They're in that hateful first draft stage right now, but FINISHED, so now comes the honeymoon period where I can edit and find each story's rhythm and get it all together. Then I can post! One is a sequel(?)companion piece(?) to the other, so I think posting them on the same day will work. They're both short. I have to have four more out by the end of the week. I claimed 2 at the St. Paddy's day challenge at [livejournal.com profile] a_lost_art -- there were just too many temptations to choose from, how could I pick just one?! There will be several all-nighters, I think. Am I daunted? HELL, NO! Pfffft. Sleeping is for naps, and I can do my job -- housewife and slave -- in between.

Nighttime is the right time!

I have a question and my usual email question-answerer isn't up yet. If you're putting a header on a fic, and the fic is about one person (X), but that person thinks sadly about someone who is dead, do you put X/X in the heading, or do you just put X's name?

ETA: What do you call the place where Kate and Juliet worked when they were with Dharma?

Sorry for the spam, but I'm having a crisis of...something not very important, but you might want to help anyway. I want to cheat!

I want to chaet on my layout, which I love with all my heart and never want to lose. But I found another one that's cute, and I wanna use it just for a few days, see? http://alliecat8.livejournal.com/?s2id=41900473 Can you see it? With the shoes? I just want to have a little fling with it...would that be horribly complicated and mess up the one I have now that I love so dearly? Can I have a fling and then put everything back to normal easily when I'm done? I don't understand these things at all, they interfere with my shoe shopping. ;) Help?

Title: There's No Place Like Home
Characters: Sawyer (not James) (includes memories of Juliet)
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1586
Spoilers: Through "The Substitute" (6.04)
A/N: I'm posting these two stories together because they read like two scenes in the same episode, but they're very different from each other. I hope you'll like them both, regardless.
Disclaimer: Only mine in my dreams

Title: The Hand of Man
Character: Kate (no triangle involved!!!)
Rating: R for violence
Word Count: 1286
Spoilers: Through Sundown (6.06)
A/N: This is a radical change but it ties into the story above, so I've posted them together. Also, I know my Katred is legendary, but I can be fair when fairness is called for.

Because if there’s one thing Kate Austen has learned, it’s that there are consequences for what she’s about to do.  )
