Podering

I've had this question for a long time but it never bugged me enough to ask. Now, since I wrote a fic about Charlie, and Claire and Aaron showed up at the church in the scene from canon, why was Aaron there? Did he die as a baby? They all looked like they were the same ages as they were when the Oceanic plane went down, but I can fanwank that to say that when they died they chose to be that way, but Aaron? If he grew up, which we assume he did with Claire raising him and Kate helping like she promised, then why was he a baby in the church? Did he choose to revert to that?

I wanna know if anybody has an explanation that makes sense.
