NaNo Victory (of sorts)

Potrasinut can't speak for me right now because he is busy, pacing himself to get this novel done. He's learned that he can do a little (well, around 1,850 words a day) and still have time to play (or go to basketball games or paint the back porch).



So I will speak for him: WE BROKE 40,0000 WORDS TODAY!!!!! We're almost there! I remember when I hit this spot with "Deeper Into Black, Deeper Into White," and I thought, "But I've written the whole story already...I'm gonna have to write 10,000 words of sex! Remember that, y'all? But I did it, and it turned out ok...but with LOTS of sex! ;D Well, this time I haven't even mentioned sex, and I still have a little ways to go before I do, but the sex will be introduced at the very end. Because, *sigh*, this novel is gonna be BIG, and the 50,000 word NaNo quota is only the Prologue and Part 1. We get into the real sexy stuff in Part 2, so y'all keep me motivated to keep going even after NaNo, ok? But not til after I do my LostHoHoHo assignment.

Gah, I wanna keep writing...but I've learned that if I do more than my set quota I get burned out and don't want to work the next day. So, I'm gonna go try on my new Coldwater Creek clothes that came today. eponine119, I meant to send you pics and I will today if you still want them! (The pic of my new Tami Taylor hair will have to wait til hubby gets home and can find the camera...and the pic of the makeover of my back porch to a laundry room will have to wait til it's finished!)

THE STAGE, THE STAGE!!!!!!!!!!

OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!! Y'ALL!!!!! Guess what?????

I GOT A TICKET FOR A SEAT ON THE STAGE!!!!! March 5 in Knoxville, Spring Awakening will be playing for one night, and I called rather than ordered online and OMG THERE WAS A SEAT ON THE STAGE AVAILABLE!!!!! Right side, row 2, seat 8. I'm so excited I think I'm gonna faint. eponine119, ella_bee, zelda_zee, jebbie and all you others who've seen SA, OMG, won't a stage seat be WILD? Right in the middle of the actors and the action...who will be near me? Will I get to reach out and touch Moritz's hair? Will I get Melchoir's sweat on me? Will somebody beside me stand up on their chair and sing? (Hanschen? Please?) And get this - my ticket was half-price because it's considered "limited view," which it is - there'll be things I can't see, like the expression on Hanschen's face when he...um...has his big moment. But that's okay; the girl on the phone tried to warn me that there'd be parts I couldn't see but I said, "I've seen the play 3 times in person and a million times on my...um, is it okay to say 'boot'?" I'll KNOW what's going on and can fill it in with my imagination. That's a small price to pay for seeing it ON THE STAGE!!!!!

eponine119 will never speak to me again. She needs stage tix too, someday. In the meantime I will take notes...and clandestine pix if there's any way. OMG I HAVE A TICKET FOR THE STAGE!!!!!
