fact that all the dead people are actually happy and well-off makes me really as glad as ever
THAT is why I started writing this. It was wonderful to write about all the people who were gone, people I've wanted to write on the island but they kept disappearing at astronomical rates. For a while I got them all together and happy. And thank you for saying that about Karl and Alex's wedding, because that was my favorite part, too. :)
