PWP can have a theme, a point, a message, characterization...but if it has a PLOT then it's not really PWP anymore. Now, what's a plot? Heck if I know.

I think she hit it right on the head. I think there can be all kinds of character analysis, or possibly even development, or musings on a theme, in a PWP...there just isn't much furthering of the plot and there's a whole mess of smexin' going down ;)
