Yes, I finally finished it! Oh wow, you really have done this so well. I think the ambiguity really works fantastically, because life is like that. There are so many situations where there's no simple cut-and-dried answer, and we all learn to cope as best we can in the circumstances.
I'm glad you let Sawyer see to read again, because without something, he'd have found it hard to go on, and I also like that it's only Jack he hears, as that says more about his love for the man than anything else outright. Well done! What a difficult subject to write and how brilliantly you finished it without it all being hearts and flowers and happy endings.
