I kind of like the thought of repeating things until you get them right as a lesson in real life. Not EXACT repeats, of course, but repeating the same type of mistakes until you learn how to avoid them.

I like the theme so much I might try it on different characters just to see how it works. What if Boone had never called Shannon useless? Would she have latched onto Sayid and died, or would there have been a different outcome? Lost has given us a billion what-if scenarios...we could play with 'em all summer!
