euuuuuuuuugh I did not realize until you pointed it out that Smokey pretty much only shows up as dead people whose bodies are on the island. I always thought it was shapeshifting or projection, not...reanimation. Ick. ick, ick, ick. (Is anyone writing Claire/Jacob yet? Wait, Claire/Jacob-as-Christian? ICK.)
When you get into alt universes, yes there should be an infinite number. But if there are really only two on Lost, I will not complain. Trying to embrace the infinite would be almost as difficult as being happy about zombies.
