You're so perceptive to see that, in remembering, and then making the choice to leave, Sawyer (who buried James to rest in peace with Juliet, we hope) was making the choice to forget again and move on. Psychiatrists would call it repression, but others might call it survival.

I thought you'd like the end of the Kate tale! (I wish you could get a certain friend of ours to read it -- I think it's what she wants for her girl! ;) ) I know you don't think Kate would get sentimental about Sawyer's life with Juliet, but I wonder if she was thinking about what could have been with Jack, if Jack had been who she thought he was -- who she wanted him to be. Now she's lost Sawyer and I don't think she loves Jack anymore...or at least, she's afraid to. Maybe without that baggage, it IS her turn to lead. That would be interesting, no? Even though we hate her?

Somehow I don't hate her as much outside the triangle. I just wish she'd stop crying and get tough again.

I don't think Locke can die. I wonder if that makes Sayid one of the Immortals, too, so we have the Flocke vs. Jacob and the Richard vs. Sayid. Um, do I think too much? ;)
