...here we go.

HOW does one do it? High school basketball season starts today, tho football season still isn't over. So I have to go to the football games on Friday nights to watch my girl cheer (not that it's a chore, it's just a pain getting ready and spending 2 hours there), and her first basketball game is today, and I watch her play (senior starter, this is finally HER year, whoo!) then watch her cheer for the boys' team at least 'til after the cheerleaders' halftime dance. They play bball 2 or 3 times a week, so there goes another 9 hours.

Then there's Thanksgiving. I don't have it at my house, we go to my mom's 6 hours away, but I have to bring a cooler full of food and certain ingredients she won't have and ZOMG I'll be NaNo-ing. And THAT's what's freaking me out!

How does one NaNo and do football and basketball seasons and Thanksgiving and also remember their mother's birthday and remember to feed the cats and bathe and get out of bed in the morning? It's too much! And yet I've won NaNo 3 times, once even with a book I'm proud of. (The other two are still WIPs.) I can do this. I CAN. I'm the Little Engine That Could. It's gonna kill me tho. *thunk* <--that was the sound of me dying.

If anyone can stuff all that into a day, you can! :)

Good luck with trying to keep up with life while having to attend all the fb and bb games. When daughter was in jr high and high school, she was quite the swimmer. Swimming is (shocker) a winter sport. I spent all my December weekends before Christmas at championship swim meets. Get stuff done? Ha! Only if it fit in my backpack.

I believe this is what is called "an embarrassment of riches."

You never sleep, you can do it then. What about MEEEEEEEEEEE? ;)

OMG! And imagine that this person who invented Nano was AMERICAN and chose NOVEMBER for this challenge? Was this person a HERMIT? I don't even have Thanksgiving and I can't manage to find time for Nano with the lead-up to Christmas! What happened to a nice normal quiet month like April or something???

Good luck with fitting everything in! (if anyone can, you can!) ;-)

At least I don't do Halloween anymore. I even gave Thing 1 and his girl all my halloween decorations.

Swimming in winter? INDOORS, I assume! Having extra stuff in December is worse even than November, I'd think. I love talking to another frazzled mom, lol. *holds you tight and commiserates*

Or perhaps "an embarrassment of can't get it all done?" Yeah. ;)

I didn't sleep for about a week, then in the dr's office I suddenly got so sleepy she noticed it and was afraid to let me drive home. Somebody else drove me home and another person followed in their car. Talk about an embarrassment! Then I got a fever and slept for two days. Gah, what a loser. I'm fine now...though still a loser, dammit. Why can't I stay away from CC and where did hubby hide the credit card?????

I still cannot fathom the workings of the NaNo-inventor's brain. Perhaps it was a man (I think it's name is Chris, so how can you know?) who never had to lift a finger on Thanksgiving? And obviously has no children. And has wifey buy all the Christmas presents and do all the decorating. OMG, maybe it was MY husband. (Yeah, now you know his name, heh.)

Thanks soooooooooooo much for the vote of confidence. I will try. I will do my best. I will do what I CAN, and be proud that I gave it my all. that's all I can do.

You know I was an idiot and bought 400 icon spaces, right? I've filled like 260 so far. So it takes me 15 minutes to answer a comment because I just go for it and find the right icon. Yes, I am nuts. And here we go again, with the icon-maiking. (btw, I'm still stymied about the animated ones, even tho I have the program that goes with my graphics program (I couldn't figure Photoshop out so I use PhotoImpact...with I could Photoshop, sigh)

I could have a good go at 400 icon spaces :) I've filled my 200 allowance.

I used Paint Shop Pro, I tried Photoshop, but it didn't make much sense after PSP so I reverted back. I did have a programme that coupled with PSP to do animations, but it doesn't work with Vista and my current version of PSP, so animated icons are a bust for me now *pouts*

Yeah, Photoshop isn't very user-friendly, imho. I *can* make animated icons *see above* but they take me all day. >:(
