Y'ALL, IT'S SNOWING!!!!!! *stares out the window with googley eyes* SNOW! SNOW! SNOW! FALLING FROM THE SKY AND STICKING TO THE GROUND! That's...that's like...WHOA!

Okay, you Canadians (yeah, all 5 of you), go on and laugh your you-hoo's off at me. I'm like a kid who's never been to DisneyWorld before, when she first stares down Main Street. Mesmerized! It hasn't snowed like this since Thing 2 was a baby...and she'll be 17 in a week, so....

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

What-all should I cook (because snow makes me want to): Chili, of course, and hot chocolate with marshmallows, and beef stew in the crock pot to make the house smell all warm and homey, and what else? Hubby has to pass the grocery store on his way home from work, and they're gonna close his workplace at 1:00, so I can make a list for him and cook anything I want. Ideas???????????????? ([livejournal.com profile] zelda_zee, I'm lookin' at YOU!)

LOOK, [livejournal.com profile] cynthia_arrow, that's REAL SNOW! Come over to my house to play, and we'll have a snowball fight! ;) The rest of y'all Southerners, the party's at my house...except you can't come because Mama Allie won't allow you to risk your necks driving here. So it'll be a virtual party. Here, first we need a snowman:

So, I gakked that Fan Fiction Personality Test from [livejournal.com profile] eponine119, and here's what I got:

The Mindgamer

Fanfiction is a creative outlet for you. You don't intentionally write it, it just happens. You find inspiration in several fandoms, but are not obsessed with only one.

You like to explore "what if" situations. What if this character had never made this very choice? What if this event had taken place sooner, never, elsewhere? What if these people had never met?

You are likely to write Alternative Universes, fan seasons or sequels and just follow your (sometimes pretty strange) plot bunnies.

********

Yeah, I didn't intentionally get into fanfiction, it just reached out and grabbed me. I'd never even heard of it before; didn't know it existed until Lost came along and I started exploring stuff online. What a naive little innocent I was then...man, that sure changed fast! I DO find inspiration in several fandoms, but I AM obsessed with only one. He got that wrong -- I'm a Lost-girl all the way, baby!

The second part is dead-on. In fact, my journal used to be named "What If?"! I used to get annoyed when people would say, "But it didn't really happen this way." That's the whole point -- I want to explore how "my" characters would handle lots of different situations. I think I picked the absolute right venue for that -- Lost provides TONS of inspiration for "what if?"

I don't know what "fan seasons" means, but yes, I do let my plot bunnies roam free and follow them wherever they go. They often surprise me, and I end up writing a totally different story from the one I *thought* I was writing. Sometimes that blows my mind. ;)

I read the other possible results, and I think I almost fit this one, too:

The True Fan

Once you fall in love with a movie, book or TV series, you are loyal like an old dog. [HELL to the YES!!!!! I am a loyal old dog and I'm not ashamed to admit it!] You take fanfiction quite seriously and use it as a substitute after the canon ran out. [I guess I'll have to soon. :(]

You are probably a walking dictionary of your favourite fandom and you are picky about what you write and read. The closer to the "real thing" fanfiction is, the more you like it. [Yeah, I'm picky about what I write and read, but I will read almost anything that features my chosen pairing. I WANT MORE!!! I am insatiable for them. :) But no, I don't want my fanfiction to be just like canon...that's about the wrongest he could be! I guess that's why I *didn't* get this result, huh?]

You'd rather explore a character in all depth, see new sides and learn more about them than creating new characters or mix up the situations they are in. [Yep. As if you didn't know that already. ;) Sawyer, baby, THANK YOU for giving me SO MUCH stuff inside that beautiful self of yours to explore! :)]

[p.s. Annoyingly, I had to correct his grammar just as the others who've taken this had to do. Rule #1: You should know the rules of writing before you put it on display for all to see!]
