Is it Easter?

I guess that's where everybody 'round my parts has gone -- church! Mr. Preacher Man, I have a doctor's excuse - I don't have a pretty enough hat/dress/diamond tiara/whatever-the-heck (see, I said "heck") like everybody's gonna be wearing today. All I have are a pair of crutches and a white cast on one foot and a black brace on the other, and since they clash I think that Jesus will accept my "Happy Resurrection" note in lieux of my fashion faux pas.

(Non-Christians are welcome to write me off as a loony...Lord knows it's been done plenty of times before. *giggle* And Christians, I'm not irreverant, I swear! (oops!) I just figure that if God invented a sense of humor he probably has one, too.)

I really logged on to update you on the kitten situation. I'd forgotten (and evidently so had the human hellcats who were promptly crucified...er, I mean hauled off to jail, but crucified seems SO much more appropriate) that WalMart keeps a cop on their premises at all times. Thankfully my child is smarter than me and she found him and he dealt with the perps and the kittens. Since it's Easter, and they have such a poignant story (the kitties, I mean!), they all woke up happily in a basket in a new home this morning. :)

I'm proud of my girl, especially since my first thought was that I'd have to bring the kittens home, which meant that I'd instantly fall in love, which meant that I'd instantly have a 10-cat household. Whew, they were saved and SO WAS *I*!!!!!

Oh, I think God totally has a sense of humor. I mean, Jesus did. He was pretty darn sarcastic.

And I think he forgives you for skipping church, under the circumstances. Especially since you're apparently the town's new kitten rescuer. :)

If God didn't have a sense of humor, he wouldn't have invented penises. I mean, I like 'em fine, but they're funny-looking. I'm just sayin'.

And I'll pass the credit for kitten-rescuing to my daughter, who had enough sense to find someone who SURELY found nice new Easter homes for three imperiled babies. So all's well that ends well. :)
