HI, Lost hiatus! (glass half full...glass half full...okay, 8/13th full....)
Hi! And,I've officially gone 'round the bend. I'm writing email to
eponine119's cat now. Dulcie and Junebug, I guess you're next. :)
I am madly in love with the idea of a GFG in NYC. What say you?
Oh my holy heavens (wait, am I banned from saying that since I slept thru Easter?) I have SOOOOOOOOOO much catching up to do on LJ. I mean, like, 2 weeks worth. Oh, and I have to put this next thing under a cut, so 'scuse me while I spam.

Pro: It's closer to me! \o/ There's all sorts of stuff to do!
Cons: Is this something we can do and have it be affordable? Seems expensive... I'm more than a little terrified of the City. [But this will most likely be weighed out by having friends with me...]
Notice how I'm just throwing my hat into the GFG ring. :D
I want to got to MOMA.

Though, I have to warn you - my art squee and flail is pretty extensive. It's kind of like taking a nine year old to Disneyland, though with a sketchbook. :D

Shall I ask you this again when you've recovered from the last trip? ;)
And, see, we'll get Thing 1's dad's airline (um, United? One of the big ones) to fly us there for free (they weren't together when you got your tickets the first time) :( And we'll stay with somebody who has a big comfy apartment right in the middle of things -- surely ONE of us knows somebody like that! And we will take taxis because of my sudden infatuation with taxi drivers. And we'll be rich by then, of course. And we'll go before June 1 [Do NOT question the logic of my last two statements, just go with it) and see Rent again and break Tamyra's hair (and her fingernails and her ankles, just for good measure -- I'm very good at the ankle-breaking part -- and Rosario will show up to save the day). And somehow magically they'll do a one-night-only production of Les Miz, which coincidentally won't be a night they're doing Spring Awakening so Wendla can play Eponine. There, now you can start counting to five again. (DAMN, coming off of woozydrugs makes one HYPER! Has Storykitty been investigating the medicine cabinet on the sly?)

But being rich before June 1 sounds good and would make the rest lots easier!

I'm there pretty much every other weekend in the summer, so other than those particular days, when ever is fine by me, I know my way around the city better than the one I live in, so I have no problems.
And don't worry about seeing Wicked, when you finally do, believe me, you'll be over the moon, I have to find my pics and scan them for you all.

And oh, yeah, I WILL see Wicked on Broadway, my pretty, if it's the last thing I do!!!!! I've already seen it in Atlanta and L.A., but it has replaced Rent (now that I've seen Rent on Broadway) as the main Broadway show I intend to see before I kick the bucket. Um, not THAT bucket, the one Dorothy threw, another more innocent bucket. Ignore me, coming off painkillers makes my brain say crazy things.

You NEED TO GET SOME REST rest that ankle and don't worry about sounding loopy you sould perfectly fine *don't make me come over there *smile*, and don't worry about Wicked, I have a feeling you'll be seeing it. *smile*
I've seen more than my fair share of shows there too, it's funny but Wicked wasn't high on my list, but I ended up seeing it three times.

I'll be there with my husband and painting class group though, so I don't see how I could spend a lot of time with fangirls if they would gather that weekend :( (a lunch or dinner? maybe a night out? that's about it!!! *wails*)
it also means that I will not go BACK to NYC anyway, before or after that weekend, as it would be difficult to justify, which sucks. muchly.
but that must not change the fact that OMG, a GFG in NYC is just an amazing idea! =D

I'll be in New York from May 2nd to May 8th (have to start new job on the 9th). I'm planning on seeing Spring Awakening, Rent, Boeing Boeing (for Bradley Whitford) and maybe Young Frankenstein (because I love Sutton Foster).
And when I come back, I'll immediately start planning for my next NY trip. I wish I lived closer!
