So...does anybody out there still watch One Life to Live? I took a little break during the strike and I just went back, and...I have spoilery questions for the last, like, month, GAH,

NO, I refuse to accept it, my Nash is NOT DEAD. Right? 'Cause it's soap opera land and nobody who's dead is really dead. So I'll get my Nash-of-the-pretty-hair back soon, right? So. Not. Dead.

But when did he die? How did he die? Is that what made Jess turn into Tess-pretending-to-be-Jess? And how'd she get pregnant...wait, stupid question. Uh, whose baby is it?

And what's up with 1968. Does anybody know what's going on?

*sooooooooo confused*

The funny thing about OLTL is that I'll flip by it every couple of months or so. And I started when Tess and Jess were both with different guys (Antonio or something was the other guy, right?). And then she turned back into Jess for good, but Nash was still in love with Tess. And then I stopped and came back four or five months later and Jess was in love with Nash now. And then I flipped away and came back again and Nash was dead. Being a casual soap viewer can give you whiplash like that. The last time I tuned in was his funeral.

But, yeah, no one is ever dead in soap opera land, so...who knows. He may be back.

I do the flipping-by thing with All My Children and General Hospital, which is funny because all those years when I was in high school and college (I'll admit it -- the seventies!) OLTL was just "that show that comes on between AMC and GH." Back then Greg and Jenny on AMC and of course, Luke and Laura on GH were all the rage. I mean, in college, EVERYBODY arranged their classes around GH so we'd never miss it -- even the guys, lol. But now, 20+ years later (yikes!), OLTL is the One To Watch. Funny how things change.

Being a casual soap viewer can give you whiplash like that.

LOL, don't I know it!!! I *always* have whiplash when it comes to AMC and GH 'cause I just catch them if I've got a minute to watch, but OLTL comes on at my lunch hour so I can keep up with it better. But the strike made it SO BORRRRRRING, I quit and now I'm all disoriented.

The last time I tuned in was his funeral.

My "investigation" has turned up the info that that was in early June. Gah, I've got a lot of catching up to do. I could download the funeral, but I don't know if my heart could take it...should I, or shouldn't I? *frets*

Didn't Wikipedia say how Nash died? Something about a wall or a fire or something? *shrugs*

this kinda explains what's going on -- 1968 is time travel to pay homage to Clint's time travel to, what was it, the Old West? And Viki goes back to heaven. (Where apparently the old Jessica is going to play Megan Gordon, wtf.)

I have more to say but I have to investigate this first. Brb!!!

SIGH. One comment said this:

I began FAITHFULLY watching OLTL in 1972. It is the only soap I ever followed. I stopped watching it when they fired Forbes March.

I feel like saying the same damn thing. BAH.

Brb! ;)

Okay, I'm a little calmer now, and I've been to Wikipedia and it says that Nash got in a fight and fell through a skylight, and died slowly while everybody came to say goodbye. He died in Jessica's arms, just after she told him she was pregnant again. GAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH. I think I'm glad I wasn't watching.

WHY would the fire HIM? All that wasted potential, SIGH. They should've made him come back from the dead as an ev0l dude, like in Pet Sematary.

The time travel stuff...Viki hasn't died yet, but I'm kinda excited about more Heaven episodes. Agnes Nixon -- the creator -- is gonna make an appearance (as God?). Lol! And it might be cool if Erin Torpey comes back...she can't come back as Jessica 'cause Jess isn't dead, so she'd have to be Megan, wouldn't she? And the real Megan, she's moved on to be somebody big, hasn't she? I can't remember who played her.

Heh, you're getting into this. Want me to tape the Heaven eps for ya?

Megan was played by Jessica Tuck. She's working, but not really famous. (She was my favorite OLTL character, can ya tell?)

Who knows why they ever fire people on soaps? They're so weird.

I could tape it myself. I'm working very hard to not become involved, I'm just nostalgic for my old shows. (Gah, tell me when the Heaven stuff starts?)

I might be wrong, the Heaven stuff might've already happened and now Viki's back, all recovered? I dunno. But they're just now doing the time travel story, so if the two are connected then it hasn't happened yet.

I LOVED Megan, too. (And yes darlin', I already knew she was your favorite character!) Here's her Wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megan_Gordon#Megan

I was almost as mad when she died as I am about Nash. Are ALL writers evil? And what does that say about US, who re-write their stuff to suit ourselves?

Oh, did I mention that before? Once or twice? ;)

I think she wanted to leave, though, so that probably absolves the writers. I looked up Nash and there's conflicting reports -- the writers thought his story wasn't going anywhere (um, who's fault is that?) or they had to reallocate their cast money.

I stopped watching OLTL back when I went back working in the day, a long long time ago, and when Todd was the 'real' Todd and Star was a little girl and the whole fiasco with the other baby! lol! oh and Nathan Fillion was on. good times.

I don't even know Nash, I think, although I do watch bits and pieces for the giggle factor when I can.

Oh, I miss real!Todd SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much. I'm still madly in love with him, with the hair and the scar and the bad attitude (UNDERSTATEMENT!). He was my first Sawyer, I think. Totally, totally my TYPE!

And awwwwww, 'lil Starr was the cutest, wasn't she? She was "born" on the show just a couple of months before my daughter was, so my girl has grown up with Starr and feels like she's a friend! But now, oh noes!!!! Starr is a teenager (they never fast-aged her so she's always been just my kid's age) and she's pregnant, so I won't let my kid see her anymore. :/

Nash was...he had the LOOK, y'know? The hair and the face and the bod...that Sawyer/Todd/Tim Riggins type. But he didn't play a bad guy, which is a crying shame, so maybe now he'll move on and get a tortured bad-guy with a heart-of-gold role on another show and I can love on him there.

I take this stuff WAAAAYYYY too seriously, lol.
