You're just not looking at the big picture, Doc. You're still back in civilization. Me? I'm in the wild.

Um, it was that obvious??? ;D
I do have a certain
crazy!mad obsessionfondness for Sawyer, I must admit. And though Tabula Rasa was supposed to be a Kate episode, the implied slash between Jack and Sawyer totally upstaged her. Damn, I love my boys!!!no subject

The Brig...okay, well, I hated it that Locke used Sawyer. Hated it bad. But after Sawyer got locked in with Cooper/The Real Mr. Sawyer/TRMS, I was just so, SO overwhelmed and blown away by Josh's performance, there are no words. I watched that scene and afterward the first words out of my mouth were, "Just hand Josh his Emmy, NOW." Oh man, I love Josh to pieces!
Okay, as for the moral issue of "should he or shouldn't he," I have to admit that at first I was shocked that Sawyer went through with the killing. I think we were supposed to be shocked. After all, haven't we been given so many glimpses of Sawyer's tortured conscience, surely enough to make us believe that he'd listen to that conscience in the end? I struggled to wrap my mind around it, to understand his thought processes ('cause my favorite place to live is inside Sawyer's head!), and here's what I got:
TRMS was a bad, BAD man. By the time Sawyer confronted him in The Brig, we knew that he'd lied stolen and killed; he'd pushed Locke out a window, he'd stolen his kidney, and then it was revealed in The Brig that he'd also ruined families remorselessly, most of all Sawyer's. And he was amused about it, and totally unrepentant. Sawyer was looking for remorse. He was looking for a glimmer of guilt from Cooper, to absolve Sawyer's own feelings of guilt (couldn't he have done something if only he'd come out from under the bed?). When TRMS revealed himself to BE the monster that Sawyer had been chasing all along, when he read the letter and instead of showing remorse he ridiculed it and tore it up, well, I don't blame Sawyer for what he did. Not one little bit. Cooper/TRMS turned out to be a scorge on humanity and Sawyer did the world a favor by removing him from it. That makes him a hero.
Er, imho. ;) Can you tell I'm just a bit passionate about this subject?
