scout's honor

I'm taking a vow. I've been called on my bad, bad habit of only skimming my flist for Jack/Sawyer fics, and I'm ashamed of myself 'cause that's not fair. I don't only WRITE J/S fics! I'm working on a Juliet/Sawyer one right now! So, I'm gonna start reading as much Lost fic as I can, regardless of who it's about (unless it's a pairing I simply can't stand, and if you know me then you know which two pairings I mean ;) ). If I fail, you may smite me with a Jesus stick (remember those?). Or a flamingo.




ETA#1: What I'm doing:

Reading and beta-ing an original novel of a friend's
Writing my own original novel, which I started last night...er, 1 1/2 pages down, ? to go
Writing my Juliet/Sawyer fic
Reading Lostfic. Lots and lots of Lostfic!
Fretting about...(see below)

You're not a horrible flister at all! Lately (and that means for the last year or so) I've tried to be, um, what's the word? Circumspect? Yeah, circumspect about my Katred, meaning, simply, I HATE KATE. But I've got flisters who love her, and I still love THEM, so I don't Kate-bash in my journal. But I can't read fic about her, that's just more than I can take.

I totally miss Eko! And I thought the Jesus stick was gonna turn out to be something important. Maybe by the end of the series it will...with our show, ya never know!!!

I had a feeling, actually. I'm not a huge fan of Kate's in fic. (I can't write her, and don't read her.) But I guess I don't mind her overall on the show. I'm weird that way!

Whoops! Eko. I forgot how to spell the poor dead man's name! Anyway yeah I try not to make any guesses about this show anymore, lol.

You finished the fic, yayyyyy!!!!! Now wake that lazy-ass kitty up and do your vacuuming, and then you can get on the computer and play all you want, with a clear conscience.

LOL, I think it's funny how long they give you to sign up for NaNo. You can sign up anytime between now and November 30th -- keeping in mind that Nov. 30th is the deadline. They like to imagine that maybe there's somebody out there who can write 50,000 words in one day, heh.

Do you just not read fic at all anymore?

I totally didn't know you can't stand J/Sk/ate! My non-negotiable 'won't reads' are Jate (although I did read one for the fb challenge but only cuz lenina20 wrote it) and Jack/Juliet. Well, you know, I don't really read much het, period, only if it's for the LFAs and sometimes if a friend writes it.

That's cool you signed on for NaNo again. As usual, my November schedule makes it impossible, but I'll enjoy observing the insanity from afar.

Did I really hide my secret so well? I just can't read Jack/Kate or Sawyer/Kate, no matter who writes them. I just...think of the canon spoon-scene and I just...can't.
