Drabble: Mirror
Kate, Jack, Sawyer




When the island tries to claim her, she takes Aaron by the hand and disappears.

When the island claims him, it tells him that he’d done the wrong thing by leaving it and he has to make it right.

When he claims the island and vanishes with it into the void, he knows he’s become invisible to those who would have harmed him.

When faced with trouble, Kate runs. Jack fixes. Sawyer hides. This makes them feel safe. It’s hard to believe that the island hasn’t been watching them for a long, long time. It knows them all so well.

Do you remember when I had my journal called something like that? I think it was inspired by...shoot, episode titles escape me...the "new sheriff in town, boys!" episode. Cause I had "cons" for Sawyer rather than "hides." /ramble

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the one for Sawyer -- I didn't want anyone to think I was criticizing him for "hiding," I've just noticed that it's been his survival mechanism in the past (hiding under the bed, "hiding" behind the name "Sawyer") and, though he didn't do it on purpose this time, somehow the island led them all to their usual "outs." I'm so glad you liked it! :)
