Thing first: I finally got LJ Book to export my journal (make a back-up copy). But I've got it open in another tab, and it's said "Time Elapsed: 38 seconds" for like half an hour now. I don't know if it's stuck and I need to start over, or if I should just wait for it to finish. Does some smart person out there know what I should do?

Thing second: The Lost Fic battle! I've decided that part of the challenge, for me, is to write fics that FIT in one comment. That's 4300 characters. I think that's about 1000 words, on average. Does that sound right? Help me with my math, peoples!

Yes, I am neurotic about things like that.

I would start over. It might go easier if you do it in one-year chunks rather than the whole thing at once, too.

I'm kind of intimidated by the fic battle right now.

4300 characters using the usual assumption of 5 characters per word (average) is 860 words. So, yeah, like 1000.

I have the hardest time sticking to a comment. I can hardly ever do it. I'm wordy! But I will try too, at least part of the time.
