I think it's...spooky...that John's leg was set EXACTLY the same way that Jack set Boone's leg after the accident that Locke caused.

And, Ben killed Locke in exactly the same way that Locke set Sawyer up to kill Locke's father, Anthony Cooper.

Coincidence? Or just plain freaky?

Oh, most definitely on purpose. Good observations.

I could add he fell down the well very similar to the way Kate got yanked down in season two... when Locke waited for her and sent HER down instead of going in himself.

Oh, I hadn't thought about the similarity with Kate, but of course you're right. I guess Duckett was right, everything "comes back around."

So intentional.

Also the "he wasn't on the plane!" bit about Locke -- reminiscent of Ethan.

But Lost has always repeated itself intentionally.

Yes, it has -- I could name about a million instances if I took a minute to think about it. I wonder if they're doing it for a reason ("everything happens for a reason," right? ;) ) or if they're just doing it for fun. I've almost stopped trying to find meaning in anything because I'm not sure there is any.

SOMEONE ELSE NOTICED IT!! THANKS! TOTALLY FIRST THING THAT I THOUGHT. AND I WAS LIKE, DO THEY REALLY HATE ME?

Yes, they do. *bawls*

Sorry. You know my reactions when the thing is mentioned. Blah. And I didn't notice the Cooper thing, good catch. I'd say on purpose. Everything on purpose.

Oh, I hate them. ;)

I KNEW YOU'D NOTICE!!! I WAS TOTALLY THINKING ABOUT YOU WHEN IT HAPPENED AND I KNEW YOU WERE PROBABLY SOOOOOO UPSET.

*hugs you tight, tight, tight*

ooh, good points.

I think it was definitely intentional, and creepy. But that's Lost, right. ;)

I agree that it was intentional, but I wonder if we'll ever know WHY those things happened. Or was it just Darlton's way of showing karma -- what goes around comes around.

OOOOHhhhh....totally didn't catch either of those! Apparently my observation skills are not up to par. Totally freaky though. And you know they did that on purpose.

Yes, I thought about it overnight and decided that it MUST have been on purpose. Maybe it was Darlton's way of showing payback -- it was John's fault that Jack mis-diagnosed Boone's injury, and John "passed the buck" to Sawyer when he wanted his father to die. Maybe this was fate's way of making him accountable for those things?

ohh, I had not noticed. but surely intentional.

Yes, I agree that it was intentional, but it makes me wonder: is everyone going to have to re-live their own times when they dodged responsibility? My God, EVERYONE on the show has done that SO MANY TIMES!!! They could spend a whole season just on Kate!

Meh. All I know is when Sawyer strangled Cooper, I *felt it. When Benry strangling Locke? Not at all. How sad is that.

I just finished watching the episode and I'm really glad that I'm not the only one who noticed the Boone-Locke-leg-parallel (I felt like I might be a little bit too obsessed and that connection is too far-fetched, so thanks ;)). And good point with Cooper - I didn't notice that.

Do not mistake coincidence for fate!

No such thing as coincidence on Lost! Course it was deliberate.
