When I was little we'd always go right after Mardi Gras, and beads were literally everywhere on the streets, in the trees, on the buildings. I've only been to STL Mardi Gras, though. Bourbon Street Mardi Gras is totally on my bucket list too! But I think boob flashing and beads and hurricanes (the good kind) is universal for every Mardi Gras.
