Baby, I'm home...:)...>:(
Aug. 9th, 2010 08:05 amHi my sweets, I just got home from Ireland (flew in from Scotland the day before) and my body thinks it's still there...I went to bed at 5:30 p.m. and got up at 2:30 a.m. I feel very strange, is that a jet-lag thing?
I missed you, and I couldn't post or even answer my email except very sporadically because I was staying in B&B's and most don't have wifi. I'm sorry! But I'm likely to spam today or tomorrow, so than makes up for it. *nods* I kinda like this feeling of being drunk w/o booze! ;) Oh, my bags are still in Atlanta, where my mom and I caught our connecting flight to Birmingham, where my hubby met us and drove back to good ol' HOT HUMID Mississippi. So w/o my bag I don't have my Chi. :( My hair is not happy about this. In happier news, I can be smart (thank you, friend-who-cringes-at-shout-outs) for teaching me to put ALL the essentials in the carry-on. One of the airlines I flew only allowed ONE little bag, 10 lbs., I think, but I put my makeup and my toiletries and my jewelry and most importantly Vincent (my Netbook) in it so they made it safely home with me. I also picked up my second carry on in Atlanta ('cause the connecting flight was Delta which allows two) but I'd put a combination lock on it and...well, those of you who know me know the rest of THAT story. A cookie for whoever guesses the right answer. :D
I have SOOOOOOO much to tell you, and I've also gotten some wonderful fb and email that I have read and appreciated more than I can say, and I promise replies soon. In that respect it's good to be home -- I have my internet and my favorite computer and I'm HOME here on LJ -- but omg I miss Ireland. There'll be several travel posts soon, because I have so much to tell you, like how much I love the Blarney Castle (I'll even post the pick of me kissing the Blarney stone - which she-who-wants-to-remain-nameless-but-I-love-her-anyhow - forbade me to do...did I talk to much already? If yeah, then y'all are really in for it now that I've offically got the gift of gab, BWAHAHAHAHA), my new tattos (yes, plural, and yes, I'll post pics), the Isle of Skye, how I fell in LOVE, and with whom...should I post pics?, and most importantly, the ELF MEET! And I got so many plot bunnies, I'll be writing fic for years!
OK, this is too long already so I'll shut up and save the rest for later. Tales of Ryanair, driving on the wrong side of the road, and learning not one but THREE new languages (they all call themselves English, but there's Irish-English and Scottish-English and British-English and now I know them all!). Ta, cheerio, slan libh, and peace oot! ♥

Date: 2010-08-09 06:10 pm (UTC)I'm picturing myself as Snakewoman, with tattoos over my entire body, a rockin' leather jacket and awesomely worn-in motercycle boots, on a bike with a Hell's Angel, and I'm laughing my ass off at how fun it sounds. Is this a jet-lag thing?
I'm sooooooooo glad to be able to talk to you again, even if I am a little over-blessed with the gift of gab. :p *HUGS*

I think jet lag does make you a bit giddy. Then sleepy. I'm guessing you're asleep now. Wake up and talk to me or LJ or someone!

Date: 2010-08-10 08:53 am (UTC)Yay for good times, good trips and many, many bunnies! Woohoo! Glad to see you home in one piece (and yes, jetlag does do that to you! I've always had to sleep for about two days to get back in rhythm coming home - it's worse here because we are almost at the beginning of the world, date-wise and no matter where you come from, you lose time!
Thank you, my friend, for your lovely contribution to my ELF postcard! It was so great to get it! *smooches*
