(But I won't argue that you might be insane for subjecting yourself to NaNo in general ;) I just know that it made me insane the first time, and I had to be crazy ever try it again -- which I did, but that's another tale ;D)
I can do it. I can do it. I am the little engine that could. I've only flunked once in 4 years, or did I just say "screw it, I am not insane" last year and not even try? I don't remember. I think that's what I did, so how did I get crazy again? But this book is very close to my heart because it's set in Ireland and I just got back from there so maybe....
You're good to go. Hey, I wrote 180 woirds just yesterday. Oh, that's write, I'm doing mini-nano - WAY easier except for the bit where you have to write something EVERY DAY.
I'm cheering you on though... or I would be if I had a cheerleading icon, so here's happy boys instead. That'll help, right?
Tell me more about mini-nano so I can try it later and won't go insane next year see how it goes.
You can steal my icon if you want, tho it seems to be misbehaving at the moment. See, I'm cheeering you on, too, only in a sorta fucked-up kind of way. ;)
OH! You don't know about mini_nanowrimo? You can choose how many words to do per day (minimum 100) and you have to write EVERY DAY, but you don't have to write the same novel - you can write a whole bunch of different things! It's awesome, and so much less word-count and fic pressure!
Thanks for the icon - it's a good one! ;-) And it's not misbehaving!
And I haven't forgotten about the Quill discussion article; I'll do it this weekend when things are (relatively) calmer! I'm doing the Symbolism of Water (the caves, the temple, the purifying stream, etc. Or maybe I should do Jack's shower instead..., lol.
