OK, I'll bite...the Five Acts Meme, Round Three

This looks fun! And I'm glad I was reading my flist when toestastegood posted about it! I'm gonna try it out, so here goes:



FIVE ACTS

1. Make list of your five favorite themes/kinks etc. that you love to write/read - (this list can help), and a list of your fandoms and pairings.
2. Post the list in your journal.
3. Hop over here to share your list with the world.
4. Comments would be great; comment fic based on the kinks would be even greater! The fun is in sharing with your community, so let's have lots of fun! :)

My Kinks

1. Hurt/Comfort slash between two usually strong men
2. Angst, but only if it contains a happily-ever-after ending
3. Loyalty - a pairing that should never work, such as bad boy/good boy, who have a chemistry so strong it's irresistible, and they cease to notice anyone else
4. Begging for release, and I'm cheating a little but my favorite kind is when it's anal sex, especially when the bottom partner can't use his hands
5. Secrets that are shared during the course of a sexual relationship, "emotional rescue fics" where men with haunted pasts are healed by the love of another man.

My Fandoms and Pairings

1. Lost - Jack/Sawyer (the ultimate pairing of my heart), Sawyer/Juliet, Sawyer/Miles
2. Friday Night Lights - I've never been able to write in this fandom because I can't find a good slash pairing, but I'd love to see fics that feature my FAVORITE, Tim Riggins, and also Tami Taylor, Coach, Tami/Coach, and Matt Saracen
3. House - House/Wilson
4. Grey's Anatomy - again, I'd love to slash this show but can't write about it, alas, but I'm mildly interested in McDreamy/McSteamy, Alex/Anybody, and Izzie.
5. A fandom I am BRAND NEW to - Hawaii Five-O: Danny/Steve
6. A fandom that doesn't even exist yet but I think it shows potential for slash - Off the Map - and I don't even know the character names of the two men yet, but we'll find out in the premiere next Wednesday night!

I plan to write a couple more each day until the deadline, so if I've missed you I still might get to you before the 13th!

Lost, Jack/Sawyer, sharing secrets

After sex, Sawyer talked, always with his eyes closed, always in the dark. He didn’t have modesty like Jack did, pulling the sheets over his naked body, feeling them stick to his sweaty skin. It was the words he was hiding from, or maybe Jack’s reaction.

His voice was always gravelly, his accent much thicker. He told what Jack supposed were secrets, though he dressed them up as stories. He always had been a wonderful story teller.

Jack never said a word back. He knew he wasn’t supposed to. Sawyer didn’t want his words acknowledged in any real sense. He just wanted to confess. He wanted to be known. He wanted Jack to fall in love with him, with everything inside, instead of just the role he’d forgotten how to stop playing. And Jack did. Over nights and nights of post-orgasm soliloquies, their bodies shifted closer until there was no space left between them, no places left to hide, and when Sawyer told his last secret, he looked Jack in the eye.

You saved me.

OH, how absolutely perfect! THIS is the kind of fic I love, and you wrote J/S and I ♥ you all over the place for it!

That's so insightful.

He always had been a wonderful story teller.

Yes, of course! What he (and some viewers) saw as lies, I always saw as stories - stories that are rarely true, but that can be forgiven because we love his stories so much. But when the truth comes out as stories it's such a vulnerable and trusting act that it's almost overwhelming. You captured that so well.

He wanted to be known. He wanted Jack to fall in love with him, with everything inside, instead of just the role he’d forgotten how to stop playing. And Jack did.

*cries happy tears* Yes, I think Sawyer always wanted someone to love him for himself, yet he'd hidden himself under so many layers of made-up selves that he'd forgotten how to reveal his real self. The fact that he looked Jack in the eye when he told his last secret shows that he HAS finally learned how to share his true self with someone he trusts and loves and who loves him back.

This is a wonderful piece of writing, and it's from YOU! I haven't seen you in so long, this is like the best surprise present I could get. THANK YOU! I miss you and I adore you for giving me this.

You are very welcome, I'm so pleased that you enjoyed it. I feel like Sawyer does hide behind stories a lot, both reading them and telling them, so it makes sense that that would be how he'd feel comfortable letting Jack in as well. Thank you very much for the kind words ♥

I still plan on writing you a proper drabble for this meme, but I just wanted to make sure you had seen the J/S fic I wrote for the luau this year since it's pretty all-encompassing of Kink #4 on your list ;)
