alliecat8So, how's your day? Mine's going great, despite the sheets of rain that're falling outside. *pouts a little* I notice that LJ's given me a new font without me having to ask for it. I like it. Maybe it was a birthday present? ;) Thank you, LJ!
I'm spending the day in my fuzzy Eeyore jammies and slippers, putting away all my "year-round" sit-arounds and dusting them and my shelves as I go, to make way for the Christmas sit-arounds. Whoo, Saturday was a helluva good day - we sorta made a circle around town and I got all my Christmas shopping done, as well as the random hooks and hangers I always need, AND both Christmas trees, one for the living room/dining room and one for the family room. So the decorating is all I have left to do. Oh, and the present wrapping, ugh. I need an elf to do that for me since I have ten thumbs.
and I haven't forgotten about my Losthohoho assignment, ZZ, promise!
I'm a little dizzy 'cause there are so many ways to be in touch nowadays...I guess you guys figure I hardly even get to LJ lately (tho I'm here more than you think...I'm a shamefaced lurker, sorry.) :( I've got birthday PM's and messages on my Wall that I need to answer...I think the PM's are pretty self-explanatory but I totally fail at Facebook; what's a Wall? How do I answer stuff posted on it? I guess it's a no-brainer, I just hit "reply," but the one time I tried to make a post my kid had hissy fits because I was doing it wrong and I'd embarrass her in front of her friends, who for some reason added me, as did some random adult acquaintances. (I actually only wanted my LJ friends to know about my Facebook, that's why I created it under a fake name.) Anyhow, wherever you've happy bd'd me I'll figure out how to say thank you there asap. Wouldn't want to give my Southern Mama a stroke. ;D
Speaking of Southern Mama, I found this stenciled on a whitewashed board when I was Christmas shopping, and can't decide whether to give it to my mom or keep it for myself:

OH, and this is completely random, but I have three things to say about the last (Nov.) Hawaii Five-0. Yeah, I'm like, a month late. And I'll bet nobody's surprised. >;D
I adore seeing David Keith on my show!!! He was growing up in Knoxville at about the same time I was (a few years ahead of me, ahem). I remember that once, after his big break-out role in An Officer and a Gentleman, he came to a frat party I was at. I was too shy to talk to him - even after the mandatory 37+ beers. But one of my lame claims to fame is that I once attended a party with Navy SEAL Team Nine Commanding Officer Wade Gutches. And did anybody notice he was wearing a Tennessee Vols sweatshirt in the ep? SING ROCKY TOP WITH ME, BRO!
I've said this before but I'll say it again, I ADORE seeing Locke on H5-0. And I love the permission the writers are granting me to love him unconditionally. Did you see how he couldn't take his hands off Steve's shoulders when they were in the helicopter? The only thing better would've been if it'd been Danny, but we got our money's worth of slash out of those two, so I'm not complaining.
FRANK! OK, now I'm pretty surehaldoor will see eye-to-eye to me on this one. Remember when Jeff Fahey first appeared on Lost as a laid-back Key West dude? Some of us on LJ started calling him Jimmy Buffett 'cause of the resemblance, and I'm sure it happened other places around the web, too. And now H5-0 brings on the real Jimmy Buffett to play a PILOT named FRANK? Coincidence? I vote nawwwwwwwww!
'K, I'm sure I've got more to say but I'm gonna go dust-bust all my stuff instead. Everybody have a happy, sunshiny day even if it's raining!

I love the Elsie! She looks like a kitten version of Puss, the oldest of the cats I grow up. We had 3 cats, Puss, Smudge and Tizzy.

I was torn, though, between salivating over the makeup person's job (esp. the chest, yes yes of course) and being annoyed with his wife on the sidelines (as always), yakking away on her cell phone. But we'll focus on the sexy. :) This is what inspired me to make my very first animated icon.
And also a slew of others, one of which I just d/l'ed for this reply, and it made me sad that it's been so long since I uploaded a Lost-related icon. Oh, for a time machine (that works better than the Losties'!) to go back to the good ol' days....
Btw, did you see him in the new Men's Fitness? He's so different. Still a hottie on the outside and a marshmallow on the inside but, alas, he's not our Sawyer anymore. I guess I'm way behind the times, but I had no idea he turned down the leading role in Person of Interest!

I'm glad you love David Keith - he still lives in Knoxville and seems to be an all-round good guy. I hope he's enjoying his gig on H5-0! Locke will always be Locke to me, and I love how Locke loves Steve like a father. Whatever he does, whatever foreshadowing they do to mislead us, I believe that he's loyal enough to Steve to die for him. I hope that doesn't happen - I want him to be a regular on the show (a member of the team, maybe?). I mean really, Jin and Locke and Hawaii all rolled up together, it's Lost fangirl heaven! Well, except for the no-Josh part. Hmph. He's busy being a movie star. But maybe he'll get homesick for Hawaii. A fangirl can only hope. :D

Hee! I'm glad you giggled; me too! And David Keith stood out to me back in Officer & a Gentleman days because I knew who his dad was (yes, I'm that old!), so of course I'm impressed with you having met him!
Locke is just Locke, isn't he? I love how he loves Steve like a father too, although I have just written a fic where they have a little more between them (is that incestuous or not?), although I drew the line at going graphic on it! ;-)
Oh, the Lost fangirl heaven that H50 is makes me grin too! I've seen so many people show up in it from the show (bit parts mostly) but it's such fun Lost spotting! And I completely think Josh needs to show up as an old buddy of Chin's. He could accidentally call him Jin or something, just for old times sake! (and never mind the lust that could spark between him and Steve...)
