My icons are in alphabetical order. *is confused* Or do you mean on the userpics page? I only care about them being in alphabetical order when I'm selecting them, I kind of like them being by upload date on the userpics page, but I am possibly alone there, I can see how it could be annoying.
Yes I'm talking about the upload page, because it doesn't help me if they're in alphabetical order if I can't remember what I named them when I uploaded them. Maybe it's my fault for not remembering, but when you offer hundreds of icons and some fool (like me) buys them, who expects you to remember all that - it's a damn pain!
Ah, right, okay. But if you can't remember what you named them, would alphabetical really help? You wouldn't know what you were looking for, would you? Sorry if I'm being really dim here, I am incredibly tired and should probably be asleep.
It did get annoying when LJ first changed the comments page and they were in uploaded order as if I wanted to use a particular icon I sometimes had to search for it. I do prefer it now that they are in alphabetical order when selecting one on it (unless it's changed back and I've missed it?) but it can get annoying looking for them on the userpics page. (Hence why I'm putting off changing mine even though I have loads of new ones I want to use.)
I usually can't remember what I named my icons so I have to go to the userpics page and search through almost 400 to find what I'm looking for. The computer nerds at LJ should be smart enough to figure our a solution!

They're in alphabetical order in my "picture to use" section in my comments, but when I go to my Manage Userpics page they're by date. How'm I supposed to remember when I made/appropriated something and what I named it? Huh. I'll use one I'll never forget, made by someone unforgettable.

This post probably only makes sense to those of us with a bazillion icons. I assume you have a bazillion icons because I have a bazillion icons you made. If they're not in my userpics now they're mostly (except for some Lost ones, sigh) all still in rotation!
