Some randomness

Is it too late for me to make reaction posts for Hawaii Five-0 and Revolution? Also, since I'm kind of a glass-half-full and not-very-critical tv watcher, I'm nervous about reading other reaction posts for fear of harshing my buzz. I wish we could, like, institute an A - F ratings system that we could put above the cut so I'd know which ones to click on. It's nothing personal; you know I respect all of your opinions!
When I turned on Headline News this morning, the first story I heard was this: "A fraternity at a large Southern University is facing charges this morning." The camera panned on a frat house, and I was like, hmmm, interesting, that house looks just like the Pike house where I was a Little Sister. The story went on: "The Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at the University of Tennessee has been suspended and its members are facing charges of allegedly using 'alcohol enemas' to get drunk faster. One member was hospitalized with a blood alcohol level of .40"
Holy shit. And yeah, that's my bad pun for the day. That IS my frat, and since I have a college-age daughter, I assume that a lot of the boys ivolved are the sons of MY brothers. Which would make them my fraternity nephews, I guess. Way to make me proud, boys. NOT.
My husband, the commedian, said, "That gives new meaning to the phrase 'drunk off your ass.' I wonder if they gave them all fartilizer tests."
*FACEPALM* to the max.
I watched a Taylor Kitsch movie last night, Battleship, and I don't know why everybody was so critical of it. (Possibly because everybody is not in love with Taylor like I am.) Has anybody else seen it?

Date: 2012-10-02 07:30 pm (UTC)As for the University of Tennessee Pike butt-chugging incident, no, you don't want to know. But if you do, here are the details: http://www.local8now.com/news/headlines/UT-reacts-to-the-Pi-Kappa-Alpha-scandal--171412731.html
They've decided on their punishment now, and I am furious and devastated about it. They are making an example of those boys, and it's NOT FAIR. I am still affiliated with that fraternity as a Little Sister, and still loyal to them, even though this is the next generation. If you want to know The Rest of the Story, I'll either post it in my journal in a few days (to vent!), or I'll go ahead and tell you now. If you're interested, just let me know.
